When you arrive at Delhi Airport or Railway Station from Chennai, our representative will greet you warmly. After a short introduction, start your journey to Haridwar, which is about 205 km away. The trip will take around 6 hours.
Once you arrive in Haridwar, check into your hotel and take some time to refresh. In the evening, go to Har Ki Pauri to see the beautiful Ganga Aarti, a moving ritual by the banks of the holy river Ganga.
Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Haridwar.
After breakfast, start your morning drive from Haridwar to Barkot. You’ll pass through Dehradun and the lovely hill station Mussoorie. Along the way, stop at Kempty Falls, a well-known waterfall in the area.
Keep driving to Barkot, a quiet hill town in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, located beside the Yamuna River.
When you arrive, check in at your reserved hotel and enjoy a relaxing overnight stay.
On Day 3, you’ll enjoy a tasty breakfast at your hotel in Barkot before starting your drive to Phoolchatti or Jankichatti, the last points you can reach by car before heading to Yamunotri. From Jankichatti, you’ll begin the roughly 6 km trek through beautiful Himalayan scenery to the Yamunotri Temple, which honors Goddess Yamuna and sits high in the Garhwal Himalayas. This hike is moderately challenging and typically takes about 3 to 5 hours on foot. If you prefer not to walk the whole way, you can ride a pony, horse, or doli/palanquin.
Once you arrive at Yamunotri, you can take a sacred dip in the warm waters of Jamunabai Kund, the natural hot springs. After that, you can have the divine darshan of Yamunaji at the temple.
After your spiritual visit, you will trek back down to Jankichatti and drive back to Barkot. There, you’ll spend the night and rest comfortably after a rewarding day of pilgrimage.
On Day 4, you’ll start with a delicious breakfast at your hotel in Barkot. After that, you’ll check out and begin your drive to Uttarkashi. This scenic journey covers about 80 to 100 km and typically takes around 3 to 4 hours by road through the beautiful mountain landscapes of Uttarakhand.
When you arrive in Uttarkashi, you’ll check in at your pre-booked hotel and freshen up. In the evening, you can visit some famous local attractions, especially the Shree Kashi Vishwanath Temple, a peaceful and cherished shrine in the Himalayan town, along with other spiritual and regional sites.
After exploring and enjoying the spiritual atmosphere, have a tasty dinner. Then, return to your hotel to relax and unwind in your room for a comfortable overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
On Day 5, you will wake up early in Uttarkashi and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Then, you will set out for your sacred journey to Gangotri, one of the holiest Hindu pilgrimage sites in the Garhwal Himalayas. The road from Uttarkashi to Gangotri is about 100 km and takes around 3 to 4 hours each way by car, navigating through winding mountain roads.
On the way, you will stop at Gangnani, a calm place known for its Garam Kund hot springs. Here, you can take a refreshing dip and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Continuing through the beautiful Harsil Valley, celebrated for its lush landscapes and quiet beauty, you will arrive at Gangotri.
At Gangotri, you can take a holy dip in the River Ganges, also called the Bhagirathi, and then visit the Gangotri Temple to have the divine darshan of Goddess Gangotri. After soaking in the spiritual atmosphere and completing your visit, you will drive back to Uttarkashi, where you can relax during your overnight stay at the hotel before continuing your journey.
On Day 06, after having breakfast in Uttarkashi, you’ll check out from your hotel and start a scenic road trip to Rishikesh, which is about 170 km away and takes around 4 hours by car.
Once you reach Rishikesh, check in at your pre-booked hotel and relax for a bit. In the evening, go out to see the Ganga Aarti at one of the well-known river ghats; this moving ritual is a must-see during your visit to Rishikesh.
After the aarti, visit the famous Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula, the suspension bridges over the Ganges that provide peaceful views and a vibrant atmosphere. After your sightseeing, return to the hotel, have your meal, and rest for the night.
On Day 7, after breakfast and checking out of your hotel in Rishikesh, start your drive to Delhi. It’s about 240 to 250 km, which usually takes 5 to 6 hours by car or bus, depending on traffic.
When you arrive in Delhi, you will be taken to the airport, railway station, or your chosen drop-off point for your flight or train to Chennai. If you decide to fly, the flight from Delhi to Chennai is quick, taking around 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train from Delhi to Chennai, which is about 1,300 to 1,600 km and takes roughly 20 to 24 hours by rail.
