On Day 1, meet our representative in Delhi at your hotel, the airport, or the railway station. Then, start your journey to Haridwar, a sacred city about 220 to 240 kilometers from Delhi, which takes around 4 to 5 hours by road.
After you arrive, check into your hotel. Later, visit Har Ki Pauri, the holy ghat on the banks of the Ganges River. Here, the Ganga Aarti, a beautiful evening prayer ritual with lamps, chants, and devotion, is held daily at sunset.
After this spiritual ceremony, return to the hotel for dinner and stay overnight in Haridwar.
After breakfast, check out of your hotel in Haridwar and start your scenic drive to Guptkashi via Rudraprayag. On the way, you will see the Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers and their sacred confluence at Rudraprayag, where the Mandakini, which flows down from Kedarnath, meets the Alaknanda River.
Continue driving alongside the Mandakini River valley until you reach Guptkashi, a vital pilgrimage town on the route to Kedarnath. Here, visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple, a unique shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva in his half-man, half-woman form.
Once you arrive, check in at your hotel and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in Guptkashi.
After breakfast, leave Guptkashi and drive about 30 km to Sonprayag, the last motorable point on the Kedarnath route. From Sonprayag, you will head towards Gaurikund, the starting point for the Kedarnath trek (approximately 5 to 6 km by shared jeep or local transport). From Gaurikund, the uphill trek to Kedarnath Temple is about 16 km one way. You can choose to walk or use ponies or palkis as needed. The trek may take 6 to 8 hours, depending on your pace.
Alternatively, helicopter services are available at your own cost for those who want a quicker and easier way to reach Kedarnath. Helicopter flights operate from nearby helipads like Phata - Sirsi or Guptkashi and typically take around 8 to 15 minutes to get to Kedarnath, significantly reducing the travel effort.
Once you arrive at the sacred Kedarnath Temple, which sits at an altitude of about 3,584 m, participate in darshan and enjoy the serene surroundings before heading back to your accommodation.
On Day 4, after breakfast at Kedarnath, take some time to walk around the peaceful area and enjoy the spiritual vibe near the temple. Later, start your return trip to Gaurikund by hiking the roughly 16 km downhill path through the beautiful Himalayan trail.
Alternatively, you can opt for a helicopter ride at your own expense for a faster and easier return to the base area. Helicopter services run from specific helipads like Phata, Sersi, and Guptkashi during the pilgrimage season.
From Gaurikund, catch a local shared jeep or taxi to Sonprayag, then drive about 30 km back to Guptkashi. When you arrive, check in at your hotel, have your meal, and relax with an overnight stay in Guptkashi.
On Day 5, after breakfast and checking out from the hotel in Guptkashi, start your scenic drive to Rishikesh, which is about 200 km away. On the way, stop at Devprayag, a sacred town where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers meet to form the holy Ganga.
This confluence is spiritually significant and is marked by temples and peaceful river views. When you reach Rishikesh, check into your hotel and relax.
In the evening, go out to experience the moving Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat. This beautiful riverside ceremony features lamps and chanting that attract both devotees and visitors. After the aarti, head back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Rishikesh.
On Day 6, after breakfast, check out of your hotel in Rishikesh. Spend the morning visiting two of the city’s most famous suspension bridges, Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula. Explore the surrounding temples, ashrams, and spiritual sites along the riverside.
Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula are well-known pedestrian bridges over the Ganges River. They offer beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere.
After sightseeing, start your drive back to Delhi. The distance is around 240 km, and it usually takes about 5 to 6 hours by road, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Delhi, you will be dropped off at your hotel, airport, or railway station. This will mark the end of your memorable journey.
