About Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara

Hemkund Sahib is one of the holiest Sikh pilgrimages in the world, dedicated to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru of Sikhism. Situated at a height of 4,632 meters, the sacred Gurudwara stands beside the crystal-clear Hemkund Lake surrounded by snow-clad Himalayan peaks.

It is believed that Guru Gobind Singh Ji meditated here in his previous birth, making this location spiritually significant and a place where devotees feel deep peace and divine blessings. The lake’s icy water is considered pure and sacred, and pilgrims take a holy dip as a mark of devotion.

The Gurudwara is accessible only by trekking from Ghangaria, and it remains open for a limited period due to heavy snowfall. The journey, though challenging, fills every Sikh and Hindu devotee with immense devotion, discipline, and spiritual fulfillment.
